The day finally came, and I ordered the Brown Rice Japanese Oolong Milk Tea and the Ise Matcha Milk Tea. The oolong tea was just right for me—tasty and not too sweet. Unfortunately, the matcha had very little flavor and it was hard to taste the matcha at all. ”

I’ve always got good customer service from them for the past 9 years, always friendly and polite. Long queue usually, but quick service. Located right next to Town Hall station. Seriously, what else can we ask for??!! Guys, please never close! ”

“ I would never wait in this long queue normally for a milk tea but didn’t regret doing so at this shop. No wonder with the most reviews and highest rate. 2018 black milk tea and 2011 green milk tea were the best! ”

“ This Taiwanese tea shop is extremely popular, and I’ve been here many times. If you buy two or more drinks, you can add one topping for each for free. They offer a wide variety of flavors, and the menu is often updated with new options. Every time I pass by, I have to get a cup! There’s usually a line, but the service is great. This is definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to. ”

“ My favourite milk tea spot in Sydney (and I’ve tried them all!) My go-to order here has always been the 2011 Jasmine Green Tea with no toppings — the tea flavour was perfectly strong and aromatic which I absolutely love! It’s been the best jasmine tea I’ve ever had anywhere in Sydney! I think it may have been discontinued or replaced with the 2000 Jasmine Green Tea, which tastes less astringent — please bring back the 2011 version! Still, Tea Shop Express remains my top spot for milk tea thanks to their consistent quality and attention to flavour. Highly recommend for anyone who loves a proper, tea-forward brew. ”

“ Arguably the BEST pearl tea shop in Sydney. Wait lines can get very long but totally worth it. Tea are freshly brewed which makes the drink rich with flavour. Given how ridiculously busy it is, all the time, the pearls are never stale either. Variety is also good (tea). Not the place to go if you’re after fruity/syrupy drinks. Their price point is also spot on. Buy two for $7 (+topping), vs $6.5 just for one at Coco Tea (also good but less tea variety and more expensive). If you’re not into pearls /eating your drink then this is still a great shop for the tea lovers. Fast and efficient staff serving authentic Taiwanese drink. Two thumbs up ”
